Tubes for Ava too!

On Our Way!

Zach hates mornings!

Not too thrilled with the outfit!

Love the butt view!

In recovery

Today was Ava's big day. She got her tubes placed so that she could be just like her big brother. Let's hope this first pair sticks for her. We got up a little earlier than usual, dropped Zach off at school and were on our way. She did surprisingly well. She took a little while to wake up, but the nurses said she was a complete angel and didn't complain at all. The nurse was rocking her when we got back to recovery and didn't want to give her up :)

Fire Trucks!

Zach and his fire truck picture!

Zach's face when he saw the fire truck coming down the road!

Ava was so excited! (then she got scared!)

Zach and one of the friendly firemen!

Thanks Redlands Fire Department!

The fire department brought the truck for a visit to the day care today! The kids have been preparing for a week and they were all so excited. That is, until the siren came down the street! Half of them started crying and it looked like it was going to be a disaster for a minute. Thankfully my preschool gears kicked in and I told the kids to stop and deal, LOL! I'm so mean! After that they all had a great time. Zach got to sit in the truck and he was so proud! Ava really had no idea what the heck was happening, but she was good too :)

Birthdays Galore!

The Birthday Girl!

Ava taking it all in!

In the middle of the action!

Zach loves to hide!

Ava loves to climb (and she's quick!)

Zach's happy place!

I know I'm cute!

There are so many birthdays this week! We had two parties to go to this weekend. They were both a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Today the party was at MyGym and Zach and Ava loved it! Zach's favorite part was the ball pit. He would leave the circle just to hang out in the pit. Ava just loved anything she could climb! The birthday girl was dressed as Jasmine and she looked so cute! Her mommy and I were pregnant with her and Zach as the same time so that made our friendship stronger. Happy Birthday, Princess Laila!

A bit late!

These pictures were taken in my rocking chair from when I was a toddler! She loves it!

Well, Ava is almost 16 and a half months but I took these pictures and I don't think I posted them yet. She has had a language explosion in the last few weeks! I think finally being ear infection free has made a big difference. She is back to the fast way she was learning prior to having an ear infection for months on end. My favorite thing she is saying right now is "Hi Zach!" It's more like hi gack or hi ack, but every time she sees him for the first time in a while her face lights up and she says it! She loves to see him in the morning, but he is usually grumpy and mean! She also loves to stay "stuck" (uck) and is trying to say some of her colors in Spanish as well. Today we were working on amarillo (yellow) and it was so cute, more like amadiyoyo.
Zach is just cracking us up so much. He has full on conversations and started telling my friends about the big dipper the other day. They were amazed at how far he has come with his language skills. His favorite thing to say is "daddy's going to be so proud" whenever he does something good! He is already looking for daddy's approval at less than 3 years old. I just can't believe he will be 3 in just 3 weeks! We started our Disneyland planning and can't wait to get season passes!

Busy, busy!

Ava had a head band on and left it on! Yea!

The kids have a new thing with Ava riding on Zach's shoulders (with Daddy's help of course!)

We got back from NH a week ago and have been so busy! Mom left on Saturday to go be with my Nana for her surgery. Good news is she came though it great and it looks like the cancer was localized. She has some pain, but she is such a trooper! I also had a scrap day with my girls on Sunday and returned to work on Monday. Work has been busy, as is the case after you take a two week vacation! On Saturday night we also went out to dinner and to try out the Lango (language class) of Redlands class. Neither kid seemed really ready yet, but we will try again in a few months. I was so excited to see that Ava can start dance at 2 years old. We'll be trying that next April for sure! She just loves to dance!

New York, New York!

I've finally got the pictures on my computer! We had such a great and busy time in NYC. We saw and did so much in the 3 short days we were there. Watch our slide show to see it all!

Glen Ivy with Mom!

I took my mother to Glen Ivy (www.glenivy.com) for her birthday celebration. It was a wonderful day! We lounged around, got massages, had lunch and just enjoyed each others company. We hadn't spent mother daughter time together in who knows when! Happy Early Birthday, MOM!

Storyland!

We headed up to the White Mountains for some family time. It was me and the kids (Andy had left for CA already) Nani, Papa, Uncle Matt, his girlfriend Michelle and her daughter Arianna. We went to Storyland and learned all about the nursery rhymes that the kids love so much. Zach is now obsessed with Humpty Dumpty and the youtube version that he shouldn't have seen. I guess it was pretty graphic and his belly broke open. Now Zach runs around telling everyone that he is having a great fall and going to break his belly. Note to self, Nani and Uncle Matt, videos on youtube.com should be viewed prior to showing them to 2 year olds!

After going to Storyland we went to dinner at the Station. We stayed at a family members condo, then got up the next morning to go out to breakfast and see what we could see on our adventure home. We found some great lookout points and played in the Kancamagus for a bit! It was a hectic, tiring and fun two days!

We're Back!

I have so much to do to catch up from these last two weeks! I don't even know where to start! We flew in on Wednesday night and realized that Ava just may be ADHD! She has a reverse reaction to benadryl. She was wired for sound the whole flight. I think she slept maybe 20-30 minutes total on a 6 hour flight. Zach slept at least 2 hours inspite of his sister jumping all over him and kicking him in the head. Here are some pictures of my crazy, now 16 month old! I took the cutest pictures of her for her 16 month post, but I left my camera cord, along with my bag and lens, in NH! My lovely step dad is mailing out the cord, then mom will go home and find everything else we left and put it in a package to mail out. I always leave something somewhere! Packing for 3 people is the pits!

Blueberry Picking!

Today we went blueberry picking with Uncle Matt, Michelle and Arianna. The kids were eating the blueberries before we could even get them in the bin! Ava also ate some grass and dirt as well :)

Fun Time in NH!

Zach and Addison!

Ava and Addison!

Some things run in the family!

This week has been great! Andy and I went to NYC, but that trip will require a slide show! Here are some pix of the kids hanging out with their uncle Matt and meeting baby Addison for the first time!
